Each year, the students and faculty of Woodbridge High School compete in a basketball game for bragging rights and fundraising. It is always filled with joy with plenty of positive energy from both sides. This year, the faculty kept their win streak alive by beating the students once again!
Senior Bikramjit Singh, who is a two-time participant in the game, noted that the students were down the whole first half, but then they began a comeback after the juniors had a great offensive run.
He was excited heading into the game, seeking revenge for the loss he had took last year. He said he had a good feeling they would win, but his confidence shot down quickly during warmups, because he injured himself attempting to dunk. While not sure of the outcome, Bikram stated that he wasn’t nervous, because he simply just wanted to have fun.
“Faculty came out strong” said Bikram. Students were down by 30 points within the first five minutes. They then began to make a comeback, but it simply was not enough, and Faculty came on top with the win again.
The crowd was decently sized, though not as large as last year, but their energy was still there.
“Last year I sold 30+ tickets, but this year I could barely sell 10” Bikram stated.
It was another great Student vs. Faculty game for all involved, and we are already looking forward to next year’s game where the students can hopefully end the streak!
