Limits on Bathrooms
Here at Woodbridge High School, there is a limit to the number of students allowed to leave for the bathroom at a time. The limit was put in place to alleviate stresses of wrongdoings within the bathrooms. Students are only allowed out 1 at a time, and only 2 are allowed in the actual bathroom at a time.
The bathroom limits have caused some issues, with longer lines forming at the bathrooms around the building. The students in class usually have to wait in a long line just to leave the class, and then are waiting in another long line when arriving at the bathroom. In many cases, some students aren’t able to go to the bathroom, causing emergencies and frustration.
Student Dissatisfaction With Limits on Bathrooms
Overall, students have voices some displeasure about how long people are waiting to use the bathroom. Aliza, a student at WHS, says “It isn’t fair. Other students have to go and some students aren’t actually going to the bathroom. People who actually have to go must wait.” She makes another remark stating, “I think the amount of stalls there should fit all the people. Some people are wasting time making it harder for people to get to the bathroom quicker.”
This issue has caused a lot of conflicts between students. As they have to wait in 2 long lines, one just being able to leave the class and the bathroom itself. Students have to wait on students, who sometimes are not always doing the right thing. It benefits the school by having less students out at a time hall roaming, but the issues are being felt elsewhere. Only letting 2 people in the bathroom at once is time consuming, but is understandable. Students tend to fool around with their friends in the bathroom.
These limits have caused much dissatisfaction to the students. It has some benefits but it also has many downfalls. While students are not thrilled with the rule, students should expect to wait a bit for bathroom lines in order to keep our building safe!
