Sebastian wears #19 and plays center back. When asked how long he has been playing he dates his career back to when he was 7. He stated his best game was against New Brunswick. When questioned on who he looks up to, he said he looks up to David Pereira, a former defender who graduated in 2022. His advice to underclassmen was, “Put in that work. Practice determines how good you are, so just dedicate time to practicing and becoming a better player.”
Sofiane Aouiz
Sofiane wears #7 and plays midfield. He’s been playing soccer for WHS for all 4 years of high school. When questioned about his best game he states that it was this year’s Senior Night. When asked about a player he looks up to, he said that he looks up to professional player Christiano Ronaldo. When asked about advice he would give to underclassmen he said “Work hard and don’t let the bad games get to you.”
Matthew Arias
Matthew wears #5 and plays center back. He’s been playing soccer for practically his whole life saying he’s been playing since he was about 4 years old. When asked about his best game he says that his best varsity game was this year’s game against Perth Amboy High School. When questioned about a player he looks up to, he said that he looks up to professional player Christiano Ronaldo. When asked about advice he would give to underclassmen he said “Definitely do your work and pay attention in class”
Marvin Sayes
Marvin wears #21 and plays left-back. He started playing soccer in his freshman year of High school. When asked about his best game he called back to travel soccer. When questioned about a player he looks up to, he said that he looks up to professional player Christiano Ronaldo. When asked about any advice he would give to underclassmen he said “To work hard and to not have any regrets.”
Daniel Ume
Daniel Ume wears number 17 and plays left back. He has been playing soccer for 8 years. When asked about his best game he called back to this years game against Colonia High School. When asked about player he looks up to, he names his teammate Sebastian Correa. Some advice he would give to underclassmen he said to “Impress the coaches, show up to practice everyday, and put in that work.”
