Sunday, December 1, 2024. Epic Games released the sixth chapter of their ongoing popular game, Fortnite. And there’s a lot to go over. New map, new weapons, new skins, new movement, and even a new editing mechanic. And for the older Fortnite players looking to reminisce on old times, the long awaited OG Fortnite mode made its return.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
In this newest chapter, players were given a completely new map to play on, and a bunch of new weapons. The new POI’s (points of interest) on the map are, Warrior’s Watch, Shogun’s Solitude, Foxy Floodgate, Burd, Nightshift forest, Canyon Crossing, Masked Meadows, Hopeful Heights, Seaport City, Shining Span, Twinkle Terrace, Brutal Boxcars, Lost Lake, Whiffy Wharf, Flooded Frogs, Magic Mosses, Pumped Power, and finally the Demon’s Dojo. These locations are all isolated with some amazing loot and overall beautiful views. And the newest medallions on the map are the Wanderer Medallion you can receive from defeating boss Shogun X, and the Night Rose Medallion you can get from Defeating boss Night Rose.
The new weapons in the game are looking smooth and packed. The Holo Twister Assault Rifle, the Fury Assault Rifle, the Veiled Precision SMG, the Surge Fire SMG, the Sentinel Pump, the Twinfire Auto Shotgun, and the Oni Shotgun, the Typhoon Blade (melee), the Fire Oni Mask, and the Void Oni Mask, are all the newest additions to Fortnite’s arsenal. These in game weapons are amazing to use, and Epic Games were on fire with the designs. Along with a new map and weapons, Epic Games also introduced the newest Rogue Bike and Void Burn car automobiles. Wrapping up the inventory, sprites were also introduced, adorable little creatures that either replenish shields, faster travel, and give boons (perks).

Wrapping it up
With these two playable modes, Fortnite will have a bunch of players on their servers, both newer and older. Players looking to both reminisce and look at the evolution of the game will have a great time. This popularity will put so much more spotlight on Fortnite, with a probable chance of getting a nomination for the 2024 Game of The Year Award.
