Students are upset as Woodbridge High School starts to host mandatory weekly sleepovers to prevent students from coming late. WHS new rule is to ensure students are on time to class if not early.
Students are absolutely required to sleepover in their Homerooms to make sure they are returning to their first blocks when they are supposed to.
WHS say’s this sleepover will make sure students attendance are up to date, and the lates will be reduced.
Parents are feeling very optimistic about this new rule as many stated ‘A break on the weekends’ parents are agreeing with WHS stating “this might actually just be the cure to stop the absents and the lates,”
Students are not required to stay at school all day on the weekends, “how this will work is, Students will bring in their sleepover essentials during the weekends but they are not allowed to come into the school until 6:30pm.”
While many students don’t like this new rule placed, many other students find this rule quite fun. They have stated “ I like my homeroom, it’s gonna be really fun.” other stated “This sleepover is only fun if you have friends in your homeroom,”

Students think this sleepover won’t be as promising as it sounds, WHS posted a explanation on their instagram claiming,
“It’s only boring if you make it boring.”
A lot of students have recently seen this post and things are starting to brighten up, but as rumor goes around Parents & Students are starting to wonder ‘Where will they sleep?’ and ‘Will they provide blankets’
these questions WHS made another post stating “They will provide sleeping bags, but students can go home on friday to bring in other things like, blankets, and cozy sweaters.”
Although students can bring in their own board games and travel to homerooms WHS has placed a ‘Bed-Time’ making sure students aren’t leaving there homerooms in the middle or the night or hall roaming. This initial bed time starts at 8:20 pm and and students must return back to the school at 6:30 pm.
