On December 11th, Bernard Madoff was arrested in his penthouse for being involved in what is considered the financial fraud in American history, a Ponzi scheme. It is estimated that the size of the fraud was $68.4 billion dollars. He’s stated that he started the scheme to start this process of deceiving investors in 1991.
