On December 13th, 1759, the first Music Store in America was opened. It was located in Philadelphia by Michael Hillegas. Music had already grown significantly more popular, with more concerts being held as well as more music lessons being pursued. The shop had many genres of music available, including carols, folk songs, ballads, and hymns.
