Woodbridge High School’s Interact Club has helped set the table for over 60 Woodbridge families this Thanksgiving.

From the end of October through November 19th, the Interact Club collected food and canned goods to help families enjoy the holiday. Various school clubs, departments, and athletic teams contributed to the effort which produced a full Thanksgiving dinner, replete with turkey and sides, to help 66 local Woodbridge families.

A Thanksgiving basket is prepped and ready to be donated. Woodbridge High School’s Interact Club prepared 66 baskets to be donated to Woodbridge Township families in need.

Last year, the Interact Club was able to produce 55 baskets, and they are thrilled with the additional 11 they were able to create through their strong word-of-mouth campaign to combat hunger and spread holiday cheer.

The food was sorted into baskets by the Interact Club’s 25 members, and decorated with holiday themed tissue paper before being donated to Peter Barcelona, Chairman of We Feed Woodbridge, on November 20th, just in time for the holiday.

The Interact Club has sponsored the food drive for over 10 years, and will continue to support Woodbridge families in the coming years.
