On this day, October the 2nd, in the year of 1959, the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) aired the first episode of the science fiction television show The Twilight Zone (also known as Twilight Zone) (Britannica). 

Each episode, the highly successful show typically centered around a story of characters in strange and bizarre happenings, with each episode having some kind of “moral of the story”. With its unique and often shocking nature, the show remains a favorite of many to present day.
