The Winners
The Homecoming king was Osei Akuamoah-Boateng. Osei is a member of the National Honor Society, Black Student Union, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Heroes and Cool Kids, and both Winter and Spring track team captain.
‘It felt good to win having a competitive nature in me I wanted to win but I was happy and I thank God I won and was able to represent Woodbridge.”
When asked about the experience, Boateng said “it was like a weight of stress relief off my chest when my name was said and seeing my brother, best friend, and cousin jumping up and down with smiles on their face.”
“Thank you to all that crowned me king I appreciate y’all.”, said Akuamoah-Boateng
The homecoming queen was Jazelin Vargas. She is also a member of Heroes and Cool Kids, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. On top of that, she is in the Save our Strays Club, and Host and Hostess.
“It felt really good to win and it was a surprise to me, the entire experience was amazing.”
Vargas says “my favorite part was definitely the 20 minutes the entire court spent in the locker room before we walked out, everyone was just laughing and stressing in the stadium and it was overall a good time.”
