It will ask Woodbridge High School students and staff questions about how they maintain a good positive attitude and mental health. Furthermore, it will discuss facing their challenges and fears. This article is more about the purpose and awareness of why people need to know and how to maintain their mental health and mindset.
In addition, it can influence people’s personal growth and personalities. “I try to stay positive. If you have a positive frame of mind you will attract positivity to your life and the more positivity the happier you will be. Happiness is infectious. It spreads to others making the world a happier place.” said Mr. Stadtmiller. When speaking with students and staff, we will explore the various strategies they employ to maintain a positive attitude in the face of stress and adversity. Such practices include engaging in physical activities or with the community, mindfulness, or having support from friends and family. Still, everyone has their way of dealing with tough situations.
These different approaches can show us that, although many people face challenges with their mental health. It’s possible to bounce back and find creative ways to cope. “We all have struggles and when facing these challenges it’s easy to get a negative frame of mind and once those negative thoughts start coming it can be a challenge to get back on track. I have been there at different points in my life. There is potential for this type of thinking when you are young and trying to figure out who you are and who you want to be. Honestly, we all make mistakes, those mistakes can fuel negative thoughts. But if you make a habit of positive thoughts. It becomes easy to get off that negative path and get back on track.” said Mr Stadtmiller.
Understanding the link between a positive mindset and mental well-being is essential. A positive attitude can act as a protective factor against mental health challenges, helping individuals navigate their fears and obstacles more effectively. “I think everyone has their struggles. But having a positive mindset allows us to think positively and take care of our mental health. Plus having a positive attitude allows us to be connected and understand each other” said Angelise. “Humans are creatures of habit. If you keep a positive mindset remind yourself daily why you are grateful. You are rewiring your brain so that these thoughts of gratitude will come naturally. A positive mind and a heart full of gratitude will positively affect your emotions” said Mr Stadmiller.
