Richard Harris, a famous Irish actor, died at the age of 72 due to Hodgkin’s disease. Harris was well known for his appearance in many films such as Camelot and The Field, but is more commonly remembered as the first Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter series. Hodgkin’s disease is the one of the most common lymphoma cancers, which attacks the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system has the job of carrying disease-fighting white blood cells throughout the body, but sometimes the white blood cells grow abnormally large and collect to form tumors, resulting in such a cancer.
