Pablo Picasso was born on October 25th, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. He was a painter and sculptor in the 20th century who has several impacts on the art culture, some being co-inventing new styles of art such as constructed sculpture, plastic arts and collage. In addition, he co-founded the cubism movement, an art style that “abandoned perspective” and “explored open form, piercing figures and objects by letting the space flow through them, blending background into foreground, and showing objects from various angles.” Some of his most notable pieces includes
“Guernica,” “The Old Guitarist,” and “The Weeping Woman.” He died on Dec 8th, 1973 at age 92.
