The Bop It is a toy that links sounds with actions. You must either “bop it’, “twist it”, or “pull it” or “shout it” . The Bop It is an appealing toy to little kids who need to learn how to follow directions and still enjoy it at the same time, and has been identified as one of the most successful kid games on the market.

At first glance, the game seems easy, but when you “pull it” instead of  “twisting it” you have to play again. It gives parents a great opportunity to go do whatever they need to do while their kids are interested in playing with the toy. The Bop It also appeals to kids with its bright colors and features that target a child’s senses.

For parents, a great part of the Bop It is that if your child is shouting too loud during the “shout it” part, you can change that feature. This is a great feature because you don’t necessarily have to take the toy away from the child, rather you can just take it off that specific feature.

A con of the toy is that it isn’t always responsive when you “shout it”, which can get kids very frustrated. Besides that, the toy is very responsive.

The Bop It is all around a great toy in my opinion. The toy is not only great for the kid but also for the parents. As one of the most bought toys of the past 10 years, it certainly did what it was supposed to do, which was to entertain the kids of the generation. The Bop It, although it has small inconsistencies, is a great toy and I would suggest one to everyone who has a child or who wants to “bop it”.
