Dr. Lottmann Aims for a Great School Year
November 16, 2021
The 2021-2022 school year has begun and Dr. Lottmann wants to introduce and reiterate his expectations to keep Woodbridge High on the right track.
Below is a transcript of an interview with Dr. Lottmann.
Barron Perspective: How has/will this school year differ from others in the past?
Dr. Lottmann: Getting everyone back in the building after 18 long months away has been a real challenge but it has been an absolute pleasure. I am very proud of how our students and staff have been able to come back to In-Person instruction with minimal adjustment needed.
BP: What’s it like experiencing the return of sports in person?
DL: Having fans back to watch our student-athletes has been great. Nothing better than seeing our entire school community support each other.
BP: How do you plan on making this a great year?
DL: I plan on making this year great by enjoying every second of every day and making sure everyone knows what I am doing. If the 18 months away from school taught us anything it is to not take anything for granted.
BP: How can students at Woodbridge High help make this year great?
DL: Students can help by understanding what I mean by my previous answer and having a similar mindset.
BP: What do you look forward to this school year?
DL: Staying together and experiencing the school year.
BP: What is one thing you want all Woodbridge High School students to know?
DL: That I am beyond thankful to be back to In-Person instruction.
BP: What’s your vision for this school year?
DL: To make it the best it can be for all.
BP: What precautions have you and the staff taken to prevent the spread of Covid?
DL: We are following the state’s and district’s ‘Safe Return Plan.’
BP: How can students help keep our school safe and Covid-free?
DL: Follow the ‘Safe Return Plan’ meaning to keep their masks on at all times while in the building and to maintain social distance whenever possible.
BP: Is there anything else you’d like to add?
DL: Seeing everyone back in the building has been the best.
