A Senior Spotlight
Class of 2026 is about to kick off graduation season and each and every senior has some sort of achievement, goal or accomplishments that they’ve reached. We want to talk about one specific senior, Emily Bourdin. Emily is on the softball team, and she is very involved in the school and being friendly and social with everyone. Emily’s journey included her having a job where she works with children, being involved in school clubs and involved with sports while still having the most cheerful attitude you can find in a stressful environment.
You would be lucky if you met her. Emily says hi to as many people as she can, even if it’s early in the morning. She only looks at the positive side of things, and wakes up with a smile. She knows every name even if she hasn’t seen you in two years. She asks about your day and doesn’t try to rush you, even when she has to be somewhere. She is very energetic but with such a loving smile that makes you want her attitude on a Monday morning.
A Lasting Memory
You know the saying: leave your mark. Well she did but apparently no one has noticed how big that supposed legacy is. Even with only a month and a half left before going off to college, she is still leaving her legacy all over this school. Emily is an outstanding student and friend. We asked teachers and students what they thought about her.
We had asked three different teachers and they had all said in their own words that she is a hard worker that gives them smiles they didn’t have energy for. We also got quotes that her teachers were proud of her achievements and that she was very sweet to her peers and to the mentoring group. Also we had got quotes saying we need more people like her as a highlight of the day. Two of the three teachers had said that her future job could be something with kids since she is very open with her opinions and very sweet with her actions.
