Dr. Papageorgiou Teaches Economics Course

The 2021 school year is going to be heavily impacted because of Covid-19. It was announced that students can choose their electives via the Parent Portal on Genesis.

Dr. Papageorgiou is a teacher who is teaching both Economics and Law and Society. He  fell in love with teaching when he was just a substitute and his passion for it has just grown stronger.

Dr. Papageorgiou’s enjoyment for economics has led him to teaching it for the past 10 years. 

Barron Perspective: Why did you choose to teach Economics?
Dr. Papageorgiou: I primarily teach Economics because I enjoy teaching the course.

BP: Why is Economics an important class for students?
DP: Economics is an important class for students because they learn about how the US Economic System works.

BP: How will Economics benefit students?
DP: Economics will benefit students because they will learn how our Economy works as a whole and learn about the different parts that make up our Economic System work together to make our System operate.

BP: What do students learn in Economics?
DP: Economics will benefit students because they will learn how our Economy works as a whole and learn about the different parts that make up our Economic System work together to make our System operate.

BP: What is taught in Economics?

BP: What do you enjoy about teaching Economics?
DP: I enjoy teaching students about the different parts of Economic System & how they work using current events to demonstrate how these parts operate. I also enjoy teaching lessons about the course that students can put to use in everyday life outside of WHS- like creating personal budgets & the appropriate use of credit in their lives.
