The Woodbridge Barrons football team are coming off a huge win over Sayreville 35-21. That win put the Barrons in a matchup against Ramapo in the playoffs.

Coach Nyers was proud of how his team played Friday saying, “Great 48 minutes of football. Only one penalty, no turnovers, made big plays, got key stops, and responded after going down 21-14.”

Coach had high praise for A.J Bosch after his 5 touchdowns and 272 all-purpose yards, saying, “Bosch was outstanding, he made big time plays in a win or go home game. I’m happy for him, he took over the game.”

Coach said the team is preparing by “watching lots a film, scout their offensive plays and defensive fronts. We need to have a great week of practice. The team plans on taking it one game at a time.”

Star junior Bosch thought the team “played great Friday, we made some mistakes but kept plugging away and finished the game with a win.”

Bosch said he, “wants to take the playoffs one game at a time. We can’t look ahead. We just have to play complementary football to win.”

A.J who switched from outside receiver to slot said, “the position change helped the team a lot. We have weapons on offense and it keeps teams guessing on who gets the ball.”

Looking ahead to next year Bosch is “Confident with the people we have. We are a young team this year but I felt like we have grown from the first week we started to where we are now.”

Coach Nyers wanted to give a shoutout to the Junior Varsity’s 6-0-1 record led by “caption Jack”.
