On Feb 28, 2026, Israel launched attacks on Iran, Lebanon to weaken their military infrastructure because they hold powerful weapons. During that day, the U.S joined the war to help Israel forces. These rising gas prices compensate for the excessive use of oil, but impacts the drivers across the country
Gas prices in this country have a trend of rising every so often, but gas prices are at a near all time high in some parts of the country. New Jersey currently has prices averaging around $3.60 per gallon, significantly higher than the average $2.90 per gallon last year.
Drivers across the country express their frustration with these changes through social media and interviews, wondering when the continuous rise of gas prices will stop.
“These rising prices have affected my commutes because you need gas to get anywhere,” Radhe said. “I hope these prices go down soon because it feels like the world is becoming too expensive right now.”
People use their vehicles to get to anywhere; whether it’s groceries, visiting a loved one, or going to work. When these prices shoot up, it makes daily life much harder.
As of now, the war between the U.S and Israel against Iran is still ongoing and oil prices are still rising. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to France on March 26 to talk with the Group of Seven foreign ministers, according to CBS News. They will discuss how to come to a resolution for the Middle Eastern conflicts.
