Woodbridge Welcomes Ms. Taranto, New Math Dept. Chair

Woodbridge High School’s Math Department welcomed their new chair, Ms. Taranto, who comes from JFK High School. The Barron Perspective was fortunate enough to get to know her and welcome her to WHS for her first year as a Barron.

Barron Perspective: What college(s) did you attend?
Ms. Taranto: [I graduated] Penn State with a BS in Secondary Education Math, and Kean
University with a Masters in Educational Administration

BP: What and where did you teach prior to being the head of the math department at WHS?
MT: I taught math at JFK for 8 years.

BP: What has been your favorite part of WHS thus far?
MT: The staff and administration are the best! Everyone is so friendly and has made me feel so
welcome.

BP: What are you most looking forward to about your first year at WHS?
MT: I am looking forward to getting to know the faculty and the students.

BP: Do you have any hobbies?
MT: I like to spend time with my family. I also enjoy going to the beach and skiing.

BP: Where would you most like to travel to in the world?
MT: I would love to go back to Hawaii.

BP: What was your favorite class in high school?
MT: Of course math! Calculus was my favorite.

BP: What is your favorite movie?
MT: Southpaw.
