First Winter Track Meet

At Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex, Woodbridge High School Track and Field team attended the first meet of the season. With several events such as the 4x400m and many other events.

The Indoor Bennett Athletic Complex is an indoor athletic 200m track. Where track and field and cross country teams can compete throughout the winter season. Every winter season Track and Field attends the first meet at The Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex where schools from New Jersey state gather to compete in several running, and jumping events. 

The first meet of the season was on 9 Saturday, 2023. The first event of the meet was the 55m hurdle trial starting with boys. Followed by girls Tatiana Camilo, Rebecca Nelwin, Lila Ulmer, and Ciara M. each making it to finals.

The main event looked forward to by all is the 4x400m, 2 lap sprint in the indoor facility. Was run by girls, Ananda A. as the first leg, Kaylyn Pringle second leg, Jaliyah R. the third leg, and lastly Lila Ulmer as the anchor. In the second heat, he reached 2nd out of 8 with a time of 4:30.54 overall time. Beating Pleasantville High School by milliseconds with a time of 4:30.79.

The boys were placed 4th out of 7 with a time of 3:47.10 run by Alex C as the first leg, Victor Dosantos as the second leg, Tony Wright as the third leg, and Jabari as anchor. The team is proud of their first meet results and can not wait for the next.
