Spring break has kicked off at Middlesex County with staff and students are taking advantage of the warm weather outside. The break lasts from April 6 to April 10.
Some might find themselves bored on what to do during a week break off of school, but Woodbridge High School students have been spending their time in various ways, whether it’s sleeping at home, or traveling out of state.
“I have just been chilling and hanging out with my friends and family,” Brady said. “This spring break has given me more free time, and I’m grateful for that.’
While some students stayed local and spent time with their loved ones, others have gone away on vacation to vacation spots and popular destinations.
“I went to Puerto Rico and stayed at two different parts throughout the trip,” Melody said. “I visited a private island through a ferry, I drove an ATV and a jet ski, and I spent most of my time relaxing on various beaches.”
Other students have also used this break to catch up on sleep and focus on extracurricular activities or hobbies. Some students even used this spring break to be more productive, such as students putting in more hours at their job, or by being active in their communities.
Spring break concluded April 13, and students walked back into school feeling refreshed and recharged. As the final marking period begins on April 16, students are in preparation for upcoming final exams and SATs.
Spring break gave students an opportunity to relive themselves from academic stress so they can feel more energized and productive during the final stretch of the school year. After having little to no scheduled days off of school during March, this spring break greatly helped out students from feeling burnt or stressed out.
