Winterfest Comes To Woodbridge High School

The National Honor Society is hosting a Winterfest to kick off the holiday season!

With winter approaching fast, everyone in Woodbridge High School gets ready for the chill of 2023. However, the festivities don’t end no matter how cold it gets especially with the National Honors Society!

On December 8th they plan to celebrate to get people together and excited for Winter. For the low price of 5 dollars the celebrations which will be held in Cafeteria 125 will last from 2:45-5:00 PM.

We spoke to Julien Catalon, the President of the National Honors Society, and he stated that the main purpose of this event is to make new memories and friendships that last. Multiple activities are present as the event goes on, such as board games, dancing, and Karaoke for anyone who attends. The reason why these events in particular were chosen was for the fact that it requires people to come out of their comfort zone to participate.

However, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be an activity or two that don’t require attendees to get out of their comfort zone, such as cookie decorating or gingerbread house making.

These events, while having less interaction, could still be among the most fun activities while socializing with people who are also partaking. You could make a twin gingerbread house with someone, or even make a matching design on a cookie. While the cookie or gingerbread house is temporary, the memory of making it and sharing it will stay with you forever.

Now let’s sit and think for a moment about Christmas and just the Christmas spirit in general.

When we turn on the TV we see drinks and treats that people love to enjoy. At the Winter Fest, that would also be in full swing with cookies, hot chocolate, and munchkins! After all, who doesn’t think of sweet baked treats around Christmas time?

With all that, we here at The Barron Perspective believe that this will be one of the best events Woodbridge has ever seen.
