Theodore Roosevelt was born on October 27th, 1858 in New York City, NY. He was the 26th president of the United states and was a heavy contributor toward the Progressive movement, which was an effort to cure many of the ills of American society that had developed during the great spurt of industrial growth in the last quarter of the 19th century. He was also the first president to receive a Nobel Peace Prize. He died on January 6th, 1919 at age 60.
