Rangers Stand on Top of The League

The Rangers have been trying to prove everyone they’re the real deal all season now and I think they finally have.

The New York Rangers are first in the entire NHL ( National Hockey League). This is the first time since their presidents trophy winning season in 2015 where they were knocked out by the Tampa Bay Lighting in the conference finals.

The team has faced major improvements in their record. From this time last season as they struggled to stay in third place in their own division. The team started off 2-2 but the 11 game point streak for the Rangers shot them up into the conversation of the league’s best teams.

The Rangers have had to overcome much adversity throughout the season so far with injuries to many star players. With losses of stars missing significant time like Igor Shesterkin, Adam Fox, Philip Chytil, and Kappo Kakko going down with injuries the team has continued to prove that nothing will hold them back.

The team has also been out shot and some would say outplayed. Yet their players have done a great job of keeping the puck out of the net. They have also been capitalizing on their opportunities. As many were putting the Rangers in the category of “frauds”. They faced off against the number 1 team in the league while being 1 point behind them in the standings in the Boston Bruins.

The team put on a show scoring 7 goals and proving to everyone they are the real deal. People realized it will take a unit to stop them. They continue to roll and have held onto first place till this point.

Some may ask how they have kept up their winning streak. Especially without goalie and the second best defensemen in the league ranked by espn. When Shesterkin went down the team looked to one man and he is a 37 year old Johnathan Quick and he has not let them down as he is with an 8-0-1 record with two shutouts proving age is just a number to him.

The team has also rallied around captain Jacob Trouba to keep the spark going. This team has everyone wondering who can stop them fully healthy. The people from New York and others all around the world truly believe it is no one.
